Pirates of the Caribbean
Premieres + Exhibits

B. Creative Design & Services has led and assisted onsite art direction and styling of multiple Pirates of the Caribbean events for the Walt Disney Company. From simple styling and art direction to plantscaping, artifact handling to exhibit design and installation, had the opportunity to enhance guest experiences at Pirate’s events for over a decade

B. Creative Brenda started her pirate event styling career with Disney setting up refreshment kiosks at the Pirates of the Caribbean 3 world premiere in 2007. By the time the Pirates 4 premiere happened in 2011, her role had grown substantially.

World Premiere: On Stranger Tides

After weeks of preparation, we oversaw the placement and styling of many truckloads of trees, plants, giant fiberglass boulders, and other landscaping materials during a 10-day installation at the Disneyland theme park. In collaboration with many other talented artists, production companies, and corporate departments, Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island were transformed into a tropical world of swashbuckling pirates. We art directed themed décor, dressing a huge temporary amphitheater with nautical props, enhancing the overall look and visual wayfinding.

2nd Annual D23 Fan Event: Pirates of the Caribbean Booth

Based on a basic floorplan and artifacts provided by the client, Brenda designed an extensive exhibit showcasing a huge collection of authentic props and costumes from "Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides.” The booth housed 10 large display cases, each styled for a particular character or scene in the film. Larger artifacts were assembled into display vignettes representing the pirate’s life. Everything was styled with thematic nautical décor creating a beautiful cohesive narrative.

World Premiere: Dead Men Tell No Tales

B. Creative art directed and styled themed vignettes on all four floors of the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Each display featured props, costumes, and other assets alongside specially designed guest photo opportunities. Across the street, at the El Capitan Theatre, we directed onsite placement and styling of large prop and costume exhibits filling the venues lower lounge.
